About Us

The Village Fish Market & Restaurant has been trading since 1981, starting as a small enterprise in the first unit by the water and gradually expanding over the years to occupy four units. Originally owned by the DiNunno family, and sold to the Randalls in 2003, it has now completed the expansion. Phase 1 was completed and opened in December 2007 enabling Nick and Sue to put in a bar area and increase their license from beer and wine to full liquor. During the summer of 2008 the original restaurant was renovated to match the style and ambience of the bar. The increase in space has allowed for a larger kitchen to be built, thus allowing an expansion to the menu. When the renovations are complete the plan is to add steamers, lobsters and crab legs on a regular basis. With the larger dining room it is possible to host specialist dinners during the summer months offering wine or beer tasting along with a set menu, maybe even a ‘clam bake’ for those New Englanders. Over the last four years the restaurant has been voted Best Seafood Restaurant in the Charlotte Sun’s Readers Awards and was a finalist in the Business of the Year Award with the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.

FROM `OLD ENGLAND' TO `NEW ENGLAND'! SUNSETS, SEAFOOD & SEA VIEWS

— what could be better? Perhaps a swing band, a glass of beer or wine, and of course great service and great prices in a relaxed casual environment. Well we've got it all at the VILLAGE FISH MARKET and RESTAURANT in Fishermen's Village, Punta Gorda. Our New England and Florida specialties go from good quality Fish `N' Chips to whole fried Ipswich clams. From Salmon Rockefeller to our chef's daily creations that feature imaginative combinations of succulent seafood and delicious sauces. And of course, not forgetting our famous New England clam chowder and the hand prepared onion rings that we serve. Situated by the centre courtyard in Fishermen's Village we have views of the spectacular sunsets over Peace River and our guests can listen to the live entertainment provided, free of charge, by Fishermen's Village on Friday and Saturday evenings. The owners Nick and Sue Randall take great pride in both the food and the service that they provide and therefore try to cater for all tastes. We have a great Kids Menu with activity sheets to keep them amused!! And we cater well for those who are not too keen on fish. There are great chicken dishes, Angus beef burgers and hot dogs, to name but a few. Our pasta entrees can be served with chicken as an alternative to fish and the salads are great too. All of the entrees come in two sizes, our regular dinner size portion and our smaller lunch size portion and both" are available all day. Once you've visited the Village Fish Market & Restaurant we feel sure that you will feel the same way that Nick and Sue did. They liked it so much that they moved 4,500 miles `across the pond' from Old England to start a new life as owner managers of this New England Seafood Restaurant.
